PYRENEES XL 2025
CLASSIC CAR REGULARITY RALLY
May 21st to 29th, 2025
The Pyrenees XL hits the stunning roads of this amazing mountain range sandwiched between Spain and France at the perfect time of year.
Our Pyrenees XL gives you more nights, more fabulous roads and more competition. It combines the best of our traditional routes with the addition of a new start point near Biarritz at St Jean de Luz as well as the mountain kingdom of Andorra and the eastern Pyrenees.
This great new event hits the stunning roads of this amazing mountain range in late May 2025 – the perfect time of year for this exquisite landscape. The roads that snake their way over its snow-capped ridges are famous for their steep climbs, hairpin bends and breath-taking views. It all adds up to an iconic driving experience over 16 of the major cols with seven days of driving.
Using our own Virtual Marshal regularity timing app we can take advantage of its flexibility to combine great competition with a more relaxed schedule. While aiming for as many cols as possible we will also combine some gravel with the paved roads. We have excellent coffee and lunch stops on most days and in the evenings provide dinner on each rally driving day.

Day 1: Arrive Saint Jean de Luz
We have a new meeting point on the west coast of France at the iconic town of Biarritz, famous for its long sandy beach and once a must see on the Grand Tour of Europe.
Our hotel for the start and end of the event is La Reserve. In the afternoon we do the documentation, hand out the roadbook and stickers. The evening starts with a briefing then we have our first meal together.
Hotel: La Reserve
Day 2: Biarritz to Canfranc – 231kms
A beautiful drive from the coast climbing into the western Pyrenees to the historic Spanish town of Canfranc with its magnificently restored railway station with its own luxury hotel.
Hotel: Canfranc Estacion Royal Hideaway.
Day 3: Canfranc to Canfranc – 275kms
It is on the second driving day of our rally that the sheer scale of the Pyrenean range reveals itself – the roads steepen and the switchback hairpin bends take us onwards on the crest of the Pyrenean mountain range. The higher you go, the more spectacular the passes. A sterner test today as the screw is tightened over 275km of competition.
Hotel: Canfranc Estacion Royal Hideaway.

Day 4: Canfranc to Bagneres de Luchon – 267kms
Today we head east across the Pyrenees along a pristine rural landscape of undulating hills and storybook towns, sparsely populated and the deeply traditional life that is led by its inhabitants has changed little over the years.
Hotel: Le Castel d’Alti
Day 5: Bagneres to Andora – 193kms
Our destination is Andorra, the tax free state straddling Spain and France. In the winter it’s a bustling skiing resort but in the spring it’s a great stop for our rally.
Hotel: Abba Xalet Suite
Day 6: Andorra to Andorra – 308kms
A loop day today through the enclave of Liivia – a little bit of Spain in France. Heading along low altitude passes we climb higher through a never-ending series of switchbacks and sweepers then descend into France and cross the unmanned border into Liivia. In the afternoon we head back up the twisting mountain roads to our hotel in Andorra.
Hotel: Abba Xalet Suite
Day 7: Rally Day Six – 328kms
Today we head west, along the French side of the Pyrenees and make our way to Lourdes, famous for miracle cures and spa waters. A testing route through the lower slopes of the mountains bring a little relief from the high passes.
Hotel: Hotel Gallia Lourdes.
Day 8: Rally Day Seven – 290kms
The route today takes us back to Biarritz through the middle of the Pyrenees for the final prize giving ceremony and celebratory dinner.
Hotel: La Reserve
Day 9: Depart

TESTIMONIAL
“The GP of South America was a great event and John and I enjoyed ourselves immensely. It is always good to be the first to try something that no one else has done for a long time, in this case 70 years. Your team were fantastic and that made it even more enjoyable . The roads were challenging as they should be and the scenery spectacular. The hotels were good quality and the food was very good. This is an event for anyone who wants an adventure and I would whole heartedly rec- ommend it; if you want to do something a bit different, exciting and a bit of a challenge, then the GP of South America is for you. Thanks John and team for putting together such a great event.”
