PYRENEES XL 2025
CLASSIC CAR REGULARITY RALLY
May 21st to 29th, 2025
The Pyrenees XL hits the stunning roads of Northern Spain in late May 2025 – the perfect time of year for this exquisite landscape.
An extended Pyrenees Rally combing the best of our traditional west side with the addition of Andorra and the east of this great mountain range.
The roads that snake their way over its snow-capped ridges are famous for their steep climbs, hairpin bends and breath-taking views. It all adds up to an iconic driving experience over 16 of the major cols with six days of competition.
Using our own Virtual Marshal system we can take advantage of its flexibility to combine great competition with a more relaxed schedule. While aiming for as many cols as possible we will also combine some gravel with the paved roads. We have excellent coffee and lunch stops on most days and in the evenings provide dinner on each rally driving day.
This rally is XL in every way – with more of the Pyrenees combined with more days of competition.

Day 1: Arrive & Prologue – 27kms
Meeting in the historic Spanish town of Canfranc with its magnificently restored railway station we are just a few hours away from the ferry port of Bilbao. On arrival we finalise the necessary paperwork before setting you off on a Prologue section to familiarise yourself with our Virtual Marshal timing device. Our hotel for three nights is the Canfranc Estacion Royal Hideaway. This is followed by five more days of amazing roads threading through some of the best driving in Europe.
Day 2: Rally Day One – 360kms
Canfranc is perfectly placed to run clover leaf sections and our first day sets the scene with a 250km loop through the western side of the snow capped peaks. The mountains rise and fall as we rally our way through dramatic gorges on steep and twisting roads. Superb scenery with great roads
Day 3: Rally Day Two – 279kms
It is on the second day of our rally that the sheer scale of the Pyrenean range reveals itself – the roads steepen and the switchback hairpin bends take us onwards on the crest of the Pyrenean mountain range. The higher you go, the more spectacular the passes, none more so than on the approach to the famous Tunèl de Vielha, once the longest road tunnel in the world. A sterner test today as the screw is tightened over 280km of competition.

Day 4: Rally Day Three – 433kms
Today we head east across the Pyrenees along a pristine rural landscape of undulating hills and storybook towns, sparsely populated and the deeply traditional life that is led by its inhabitants has changed little over the years. Our destination is Andorra, the tax free state straddling Spain and France. Our destination is the Grand Plaza Hotel Andorra and once again we stay for three nights.
Day 5: Rally Day Four – DAY OFF
A day off to regroup.
Day 6: Rally Day Five – 258kms
A loop day today through the enclave of Liivia – a little bit of Spain in France. Heading along low altitude passes we climb higher through a never-ending series of switchbacks and sweepers then descend into France and cross the unmanned border into Liivia. In the afternoon we head back up the twisting mountain roads to our hotel in Andorra.
Day 7: Rally Day Six – 339kms
Today we head west, along the French side of the Pyrenees and make our way to Lourdes, famous for miracle cures and spa waters. A testing route through the lower slopes of the mountains bring a little relief from the high passes. Hotel for one night is the Hotel Gallia Lourdes.
Day 8: Rally Day Seven – 215kms
The route today takes us back to Canfranc through the middle of the Pyrenees for the final prize giving ceremony and celebratory dinner.
Day 9: Depart

TESTIMONIAL
“The GP of South America was a great event and John and I enjoyed ourselves immensely. It is always good to be the first to try something that no one else has done for a long time, in this case 70 years. Your team were fantastic and that made it even more enjoyable . The roads were challenging as they should be and the scenery spectacular. The hotels were good quality and the food was very good. This is an event for anyone who wants an adventure and I would whole heartedly rec- ommend it; if you want to do something a bit different, exciting and a bit of a challenge, then the GP of South America is for you. Thanks John and team for putting together such a great event.”
