SPITFIRE SCRAMBLE 2026
CLASSIC CAR REGULARITY RALLY
June 5th to 7th, 2026
Based at Sywell Aerodrome – our traditional home for the Spitfire Scramble – this unique event combines two days of regularity rallying along quiet scenic routes with around 14 tests. Sywell is home to the restorers of WW2 Spitfires, and the backdrop of wartime history makes this one of our most distinctive and beloved events. The rally is strictly limited to 20 cars only.
Friday 4th June
Arrive at Sywell on Friday June 4th and check into your room in the Art Deco Aviator Hotel. You will sign in and collect your rally bag, tulip road book, Virtual Marshal™, rally plates, souvenirs, regulations and more. At signing on please bring your insurance, MOT if necessary and completed self scrutinnerring forms. Mechanics will be on hand to sort out any issues.
Saturday 5th June
Saturday will be over a completely new route for the Scramble. After an early delicious breakfast at the Aero club crews will start at one minute intervals heading out onto the aerodrome for consistency and speed tests before tackling a route heading northwest taking in a coffee halt before lunch at a historic car venue. Further tests at the end of the day followed by the opportunity to unwind in the art deco bar of the hotel before dinner which has been arranged for all participants in the Aviator Restaurant.
Sunday 7th June
After breakfast and further airfield tests we head out
to coffee and further tests at an old favourite venue where the tests are about 3 km long. Then on via several regularities to lunch by the river before a leisurely drive back to the aerodrome for two more tests followed by prize giving back at the bar to round off a memorable weekend.

Port Classic vehicles
Classes are:
Vintage: 1920 to 1949
Classic: 1950 to 1979
Modern Classic: 1980 to onwards
Overall and class awards along with fastest on tests for drivers and consistency and clock watchers awards for best navigators.
